Nikon Launching a 70-300mm F4.5-5.6 Telephoto Zoom Lens for Under $700

When it comes to shooting sports, landscapes, textures, wildlife, street life, travel, and even some portraits, you need a lens that can reach across greater distances and get you close to a subject even when you can't move your body. A telephoto zoom lens is perfect for so many different situations (all but the widest, of course), and Nikon has a very exciting new lens coming out this year.

Just announced today, the AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm F4.5-5.6E ED VR lens is a light and compact and rugged and affordable way for Nikon FX and DX format shooters to capture sharp images and vivid video in all sorts of lighting conditions. The 9-blade aperture should create some buttery bokeh, while dust & drip resistance will protect you from mild weather. With its 3.94 ft (1.2 M) minimum focus distance and a 300mm reach, you can shoot as close or as far away from your subjects as your imagination wants. With up to 4.5 stops of VR stabilization, you can grab in-focus shots in low light. And with built-in Stepping Motor Technology, focus adjustments on your 4K UHD and HD videos will be virtually silent.
