Nikon D5000 Receives Gold DIWA Award

Nikon's President (Michio Kariya) has just announced that their popular Nikon D5000 dSLR has been selected to receive DIWA's Gold Award. The D5000 produced high scores during testing from various DIWA members, giving it an edge over the rest of the competition. DIWA commented that the D5000 won due to its "superior image quality, innovative functionality and user-friendliness". Nikon D5000 Digital SLR Camera Recipient of Gold DIWA Award

Tokyo (Oct. 12, 2009) - Nikon Corporation (Michio Kariya, President) is pleased to announce that the Nikon D5000 digital SLR camera has been selected as recipient of the DIWA Gold Award. The Digital Imaging Websites Association (DIWA) is an international network of independent websites from Europe and the United States dedicated to comprehensive and neutral reviews of digital imaging products.

Recipients of DIWA awards are determined with testing by member experts at DIWA Labs. Products are also tested according to more than 200 specified details, functions and features for evaluation and scoring. Those receiving the highest scores are selected as recipients of DIWA awards. The D5000 was selected for the high scores it received in terms of built-in advanced technologies, wide variety of functions, and ease of use.
