Nikon Coolpix 900 Firmware Upgrade Now Available
Per this page on the Nikon Tech USA website, the Coolpix 900 firmware upgrade is finally going to happen ... to quote Nikon:
Nikon Inc. Service will begin installing updated firmware in US model Coolpix 900 Cameras beginning on April 26th 1999. There is an service charge for this update. There is a return shipping and handling charge. Your camera will be returned to you by UPS Insured Shipment.
The following items will be (m)odified or (a)dded:
- Sleep mode setting in rec. mode 30 secs to 30 minutes, play mode sleep settings remain the same(m)
- Exposure compensation in .5 ev steps(m)
- Format CF command from play mode(a)
- Flash mode setting retained after power-off(a)
The External flash sync connection is not part of this update. Power up and down time improvement is not part of this update.
