Nikon Launches 775 Hour, 12-City Summer Fun Road Tour With New Coolpix 775
MELVILLE, NY, July 31, 2001 - Nikon (www.nikonusa.com), the world leader in photography, is touring America with 775 hours of summer fun to bring consumers closer to the Coolpix 775, the first digital camera to feature One-Touch Upload to the Web for transferring digital photos directly to the desktop or the Internet. The 12-city tour kicks off in New York City and continues its trek in an outfitted van for 775 hours where it will culminate at the end of August in San Francisco. Consumers can track the tour's highlights and view photos of visitors taken in each city by visiting the Coolpix 775 website.

The Coolpix Summer Fun Road Tour will travel to 12 major U.S. cities including Philadelphia; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Atlanta; New Orleans; Houston; Dallas; Phoenix; Los Angeles and San Francisco. The Nikon van and team will offer consumers the chance to use the Coolpix 775 camera while visiting key tourist sites such as Rockefeller Center and Times Square in New York; Faneuil Hall in Boston; the Navy Pier in Chicago; the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles and other cities and beaches where people will be taking fun summer photos.

Along the tour route, the van team will be taking photos of visitors and posting select visitor photos in the Nikon Summer Fun tour album.
