Nikon Announces New NP-200 Dye Sub Printer

Found on the Nikon Japan web site is this press release for the new Nikon NP-200 printer. Running the Japanese text through my Typhoon translater yielded the following specs:

• 306 dpi dye sublimation
• PCMCIA Type II card slot
• 14 types of frames/borders
• S-video input
• Video output
• JPEG and TIFF images
• DPOF (Digital Print Order Format) compliant
• Input image size from 320x240 to 3072x2048
• Serial port connection to PCs and Mac

The NP-200 is scheduled for September delivery in Japan at a price of 62,000 Yen ( USD).
