NIK Software Releases Silver Efex Pro 2
"Nearly every pro I know already uses Silver Efex Pro to create their B&W conversions, but I can tell you this: they'll all be upgrading to version 2 the minute it comes out," says NAPP President Scott Kelby. "When it comes to creating fine art black and white conversions, this changes everything."
The new program adds a new darkroom-inspired work flow and allows users to control individual settings with ease and precision. A whole range of new features has been added as well.
Amplify Blacks and Amplify Whites offer ways to increase highlights and shadows throughout an image while Soft Contrast takes things down a notch. Fine Structure helps to reveal image detail without creating an over sharpened look and Selective Colorization allows you to put color back into parts of your images.
You can buy directly from Nik Software for a price of $199 for the full version and $99 for an upgrade. Want to try before you buy? Simply download the demo.
