It feels like CES 2011 all over again, as manufactures announce all kinds of new cameras and equipment this week. Among these are two new "lifeproof" cameras from Pentax, the
Optio WG-1 and WG-1 GPS. Both are pretty much identical, offering 14-megapixels, a 5x optical zoom lens, 2.7-inch LCD, five LED macro lights, 720p HD video recording, and some of the toughest lifeproof specs to date from Pentax. The only differences between the two are the
WG-1 GPS has a built-in GPS unit for geo-tagging, along with a different body color option (Green/Yellow vs. the
WG-1's Purple) and a bit higher price tag.
