New Adobe Lightroom Classic CC & Lightroom CC Updates Now Available

Adobe has announced the release of new December updates for its suite of photography services, including Lightroom Classic CC and Lightroom CC for Mac, Windows, Android, ChromeOS, and iOS.

The updates offer a variety improved features and interface upgrades, along with support for additional cameras and lenses.

Here's a rundown of some key improvements for Lightroom Classic included in the update via Adobe:
  • The ability to customize the order of tools in the Develop panel to better suite a user's specific workflow.
  • A new auto-import images feature allows users to set up a watched folder on a computer to automatically import and then add images into a collection.
  • Photos now snap to align with other photos in the Book Module by default. Likewise, users can also align photos to grid lines.
  • Faster grid scrolling as well as up to 5x faster switching between the Library and Develop modules on 4K and 5K monitors.
And here's a rundown of some key improvements for Lightroom CC for Mac and Windows per Adobe:
  • A new Target Album feature lets users add photos to a target album from anywhere in their library through a single shortcut.
  • New improvements to album sharing, including the ability to filter which images are shared based on picks and star ratings.
  • It's now faster to import images into Lightroom CC from an SD memory card or camera connected via USB. Likewise, faces now load quicker in People view.
Finally, here's a rundown of key improvements for Lightroom CC for Android and Chrome OS per Adobe:
  • A new shared albums tab offers access to all of the photos and albums a user has shared online to
  • Users can now select any number of photos that they want to share instead of just creating an album and sharing that album.
  • Wired Ethernet connectivity is now supported.
