Man Creates a DIY Chicken Steadicam - Video

If you got a kick out of the video of a chicken's image stabilization abilities, you're not alone. Plenty of people around the world tuned in and enjoyed the phenomenon, but one man was inspired.

A YouTube user named Destin decided to drop a little knowledge on us about the chicken's strange ability - the vestibule-ocular reflex - and even try his hand at making a chicken mounted steadicam. It's not the most practical idea, as you might imagine, but it does provide some impressive results.

Destin succeeds in mounting a camera to the head of a chicken in a way that doesn't actually hurt the chicken, and after a few iterations as well as a change of chickens, the stabilization actually works fairly well. You can check out the video on YouTube.
