LG is Making a 3D Smartphone With a 3D Camera

If manufacturers have their way, 3D is going to be a part of our lives for a long time to come. Not only is the technology more abundant now than it was just a few years ago, it's getting smaller and cheaper too.

According to Rosa Golijan at Gizmodo , the folks at LG are working on a new smartphone that will not only boast a 3D capable display, but a built-in 3D camera as well. That's a big step for 3D and a big step for phones.

It's also a big step forward for the more casual photographers that tend to use their cellular phones as their primary cameras. Though the 3D pictures on a camera phone certainly won't be the best quality, the use of the tech could make more experienced shooters seem a little out of date.

Once this thing hits, it might be time to finally pick up a 3D point-and-shoot.
