Lexar Media Sponsors America 24/7; Largest Collaborative Digital Photography Book in U.S. History
FREMONT, Calif., April 22, 2003 -- Lexar Media, the world leader in high-performance USB enabled digital media, announces today that the company will be a primary sponsor of America 24/7, the largest collaborative photo project in U.S. history. For one week, beginning May 12, 2003, America 24/7 will dispatch 1,000 professional photojournalists in all 50 states, armed with digital cameras and Lexar Media High-Speed Series CompactFlash, with the goal of creating a digital time capsule of American life."America 24/7 marks a milestone in photographic and publishing history and Lexar Media is proud to be selected to help make this project possible," said Eric Stang, president and CEO, Lexar Media. The result of this unprecedented photo shoot will be 53 illustrated books, including one published in November 2003, titled America 24/7. In 2004, 52 additional books will follow, each showcasing each American state, plus Washington DC and New York City.
