Lensbaby Launches Portait Kits and a Photo Competition

High school students may not be looking forward to the new year, but photographers across the country are gearing up for senior photo season. Lensbaby is looking forward to it too, and has released two new portrait kits just for the occasion.

The standard portrait kit, which comes in at $470, is made up of a Composer with Double Glass Optic, a Soft Focus Optic, a wide angle kit, the Creative Aperture Kit 2 and a Lensbaby bag to carry it all. The $590 Ultimate Portrait Kit switches out the Composer for a Composer Pro and adds in a Scout to go with the Soft Focus Optic.

Lensbaby is also putting together a senior portrait contest, though the details of the contest aren't quite hashed out yet. The company promises some serious prizes to help outfit your studio. Open submissions will start up in September.
