Leica Camera Store Robbed By Thieves That Don't Know Cameras

Leica-Robbed.jpgAn interesting story came out of a Russian Leica camera store over the weekend. The store was broken into with a sledgehammer and much of the camera equipment in the shop was stolen.

Though the thieves targeted what they clearly knew to be a high-end camera shop, they didn't seem to do much research before they did so. They made off with several cameras and lenses, but took items like a $300 flash unit while leaving behind a $23,000 Leica S2.

Leica has issued a list of the stolen equipment and the matching serial numbers. "Be careful when buying a camera, and check serial numbers," says the Russian blog. "If they match with the following, please tell us about it."
