Kyocera To Drop Yashica Brand and Cameras

As the global film camera market rapidly shrinks another well-known camera brand name is set to disappear. Kyocera acquired the ailing Yashica back in 1983 and just recently announced that it would stop releasing new Yashica cameras and will gradually cease sales of current camera models. This move will allow Kyocera to concentrate their efforts on their two other camera brands, Contax and Kyocera, so as to better compete in the global digital camera market.
