Kodak is Ending Sales of Inkjet Printers - More Layoffs on the Way

Kodak is taking another step forward in the restructuring process, and the newest piece of the business to go is printers. The company has announced that it will be putting a halt to consumer printer sales and laying off 200 more employees than previously planned.

Kodak expects to fully wind down printer sales sometime in 2013 and will, for the moment, be focusing on selling ink for its existing printers. So if you're planning to pick up a new photo printer, you may be better off avoiding Kodak, as the elimination of printer sales could mean negative things for support, updates and ink supply.
