Kodak To Stop Selling Film Cameras In U.S., Canada and Western Europe to Focus On Digital Cameras

According to a Reuter's article posted on the CNN Money site, Kodak announced today that it will stop selling traditional film cameras in the United States, Canada and Western Europe. This will allow them to concentrate their efforts on the more lucrative digital products. Kodak will continue selling one-time use cameras in the West and expand its sales of these and other film-based cameras and film in emerging markets where demand is on the rise. Kodak in late 2003 announced its plans to cease manufacturing slide projectors but will continue production of color slide films.
