Kingston Launches a USB 3.0 Card Reader

USB 3.0 is quickly becoming the standard for new computers and new components are constantly coming out that are capable of taking advantage of the new transfer technology.

Kingston's new media reader handles a variety of card formats including CompactFlash, SDXC, SDHC, MicroSD, Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro Duo. Thanks to USB 3.0 capabilities, it has a potential speed of up to 5 gigs a second, which means your photos will be transferred with lightning fast speed.

"The Kingston USB 3.0 Media Reader's ability to handle multiple card formats combined with its small form factor makes it perfect for use at home, on the road or in the office," says Kingston product manager Krystian Jaroszynski.
