Just Published: Our Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX90V Compact Super-Zoom Review

DSC-HX90V_180-tilt-1200.jpgFor those looking for a compact camera to take along while traveling, Sony has created their Cyber-shot DSC-HX90V. What we consider a compact super-zoom, the HX90 has a lot to offer in a small package; making it an ideal candidate for documenting travel and vacations.

For starters, it measures just 4.02 x 2.29 x 1.39 inches (when powered down). This allows it to be tucked into a pocket, handbag, or small backpack easily. Although small, it still packs a 30x Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* zoom lens, which covers a 35mm equivalent zoom range of 24 - 720mm. This lens is supported by Sony's 5-axis SteadyShot Image Stabilization system, helping ensure you capture sharper images when shooting handheld shots with its high magnification, as well as in lower lighting conditions. Lastly, it sports built-in Wi-Fi and GPS functionality, meaning you can not only log your travels with the GPS, but you can easily share those memories when connected to your smartphone via Wi-Fi and NFC.
