Just Published: Our Nikon Coolpix A Compact Prosumer Camera Review

A_BK_front34l_lo.high-thumb-470x350-18807.jpgWe finally got our hands on the impressive little Coolpix A, which is a compact 'prosumer' camera that sports some features borrowed from Nikon's D-series line of DSLR cameras. Namely, the Coolpix A boasts a 16-megapixel DX-format (APS-C) CMOS image sensor, which is mated to a high-quality 28mm (equivalent) prime lens, with a maximum aperture of f/2.8. If that doesn't get you excited, the camera also provides a nice 3.0-inch LCD with 921k pixels, full manual exposure control, 4fps burst shooting, and various controls including customizable buttons. All this is packed into a sleek body that measures just 1.6-inches thick; which means you can actually carry this in a large pocket. The downside you ask? Well, it does have a hefty price tag.

Head on over to our Nikon Coolpix A digital camera review to see whether or not it's worth the coin.
