Just in Time For Halloween - A Human Skull Pinhole Camera

Skull Cam.jpgPhotographer Wayne Martin Belger is into some weird cameras. Really weird. The most conventional camera he uses is an underwater pinhole camera with an altar to the Santeria goddess of the ocean Yemaya in the back. After that, things start to get weird.

His "Third Eye" pinhole camera is made out of an 150 year old skull and is positioned to represent the idea of the third eye. Belger says that the camera was created to "study the beauty of decay." The shots come out just as disturbing as the camera itself.

Even that is borderline normal compared to his Yama camera, which uses two cameras embedded in each eye of a skull to create a 3D image. The creations are bizarre, but incredibly well made. You can find Belger's photos and his cameras at his site, Boy of Blue Industries.
