January and February are the Best Times to Buy Electronics - Including Cameras

If you're willing to wait for the right time to get some crazy good deals on the things you want, that time has come for digital cameras. According to the good folks over at Lifehacker, January and February are the absolute best times to buy digital cameras.

The article's author, Whitson Gordon, says that in January you'll be able to get your hands on marked down 2011 cameras as stores prepare to put the new models on the shelves. By February many of those 2012 models will already be available, giving you an opportunity to get older models that haven't been retired yet.

If you're not ready to shell out for a new camera so soon after Christmas, you can wait for the end of March, when the fiscal year ends for Japanese manufacturers. They're more than eager to get rid of their old stock before the numbers come out.
