Instagram Launches a Web Interface, Facebook Adds Filters and Twitter is Working on Them
There's been a lot going on in the
world of photo filters, starting with Instagram, which finally
launched a web interface similar to social media sites like Facebook.
Some profiles are available now but the rollout is happening
gradually over the course of this week. Simply swing on over to your
Instagram app to find out if your web profile is enabled.Facebook, meanwhile, has added a bit of Instagram to its iOS app. The primary Facebook app now has photo filters included, so you don't have to use a separate program to add them.
Twitter is a bit behind on this one, but the company is planning to introduce photo filters some time in the next few months. According to reports, Twitter filters will be aimed at reproducing specific film looks, which may add some appeal for photographers.
