Instagram Grew Over 1,000 Percent in Six Months

The folks at Instagram may have sold themselves a bit short when they accepted a buyout from Facebook. Six months ago, it seemed like one billion dollars was a lot to pay for the company, but Instagram has absolutely skyrocketed since then.

At the time of the buyout, Instagram had 860,000 active daily users. That's an incredibly significant amount, but it pales in comparison to the 11 million that use it today. That's a growth of 1,179% in just six months.
