Immaculata University Launches Cell Phone Photography Course
Cell phone cameras are improving and
more people are using their phones as a primary tool for photography,
so it's only natural that cell phone photography courses would pop up
eventually. You may scoff at the idea, but the intent behind it is
something that all photographers can get behind.Sean Flannery, the professor teaching the course, says that it's important that students understand the advantages and disadvantages of cell phone photography from technical and artistic standpoints, and also from an ethical standpoint. "I think it's part of our responsibility to teach kids how to use this tool," says Flannery.
In addition to theory, students will get practice by learning composition, lighting techniques and editing alongside photography pro Hunter Martin.
