Heliopan Releases a Pair of New Filters

Heliopan has announced the release of two new filters. One, a polarizing filter, is made to allow more light through while still offering the same effect. The second lets you adjust density to suit your needs.

The Vario ND from Heliopan is all about versatility. By simply twisting it, you can adjust the filter from one stop to 6.6 stops. It's neutral in color, thin, and you won't find any of the artifacting that shows up in other filters.

Heliopan's High Transmission polarizing filter is just what it sounds like. Instead of a filter factor of 2.5 like most polarizing filters, the High Transmission filters have a factor of 2.0, letting more light through. Like the Vario ND, these filters are color neutral and built on solid brass rings.
