Hasselblad Forms a Special Applications Department

The folks at Hasselblad have formed a new group within their organization - the Special Applications Department. This new department will focus on the needs of photographers working in specialized areas.

The Special Applications Department will be starting off with aerial photography, which is an area Hasselblad has been working in for some time. "With Hasselblad's heritage in airborne photography, we're starting with the H4D Aerial system but this is only the beginning," says the division's manager Benny Buchtrup.

The next focus for the department hasn't been decided yet, and will come down to what's in demand. "We are counting on ideas from Hasselblad users to move beyond our current product line-up into specialized photographic fields," says Buchtrup.
