GIMP Changed to Self-Contained App for Easy Use on Macs

GIMP-for-Mac.jpgThe GNU Image Manipulation Program (aka GIMP), is an open-source alternative to Photoshop that's been quite popular over the years - especially for Linux users. It's a quality program and the price - free - is absolutely something that people are willing to pay. The latest update also makes it nice and easy for Mac users.

Until now, GIMP is something that's had to be installed on your Mac. It's not a huge pain, but it's much less friendly than typical apps and programs which you can just drag and drop. The latest version of GIMP enables that feature, meaning your install process just got that much easier. You can find it here: http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/
