If you've got an iPhone or iPod Touch, it's never been easier to connect with Olympus thanks to a new completely free application.  Simply jump on over to the iTunes app store and download the app for some nice easy networking.

You can use GetOlympus to connect with the company via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.  Through those sites and the Offers and Promotions feature, you'll be among the first to hear about promotions, rebates and trade in programs.

Of course, what's a photography app without a few pointers?  The tips section gives advice on different types of photography, from vacation shots to panorama.  There will also be user submitted tips available, which could prove incredibly useful.

The most interesting feature is the Olympus Resolution User Gallery.  Not only can you view some incredible user submitted photos, but you'll be able to read "behind the shot" stories for inspiration and of course, tips on how to get a great shot of your own.

The app also works on the iPad, but it wasn't built for the iPad's larger screen.  You have to use the 2x magnification to fill the screen and the menu items become pixelated.  Folks with iPad's should take a look at The Guardian's free photography app for an app built specifically for the iPad's 9.7" gorgeous screen.
