FujiFilm Unleashes 10 New Compact DigicamsEarly this morning FujiFilm USA announced several new cameras for 2010, from slender and stylish to rugged and durable.
First in the group are two new A-series (Affordable) camera, the AV100 and AX200. Both models offer 12-megapixel of resolution, a 2.7-inch LCDs, High ISO capabilities up to 3200, Digital IS, SR Auto mode, AA power source, and 720p HD video. The AV100 offers a 3x zoom, while the AX200 features a wide view 5x zoom.
Next we have four new J-series models, the JV100, JX250, JV300, and JV500. The JV100 boasts 12-megapixels, a 3x zoom, 2.7-inch LCD, SR Auto, 720p HD video mode, Tracking AF, Smile shutter, Blink detection, Li-ion power source, and an all metal frame. The JX250 shares the same similar features, but bumps up resolution to 14-megapixels with a 5x wide zoom.
The renaming J-series models are also compact, but pack a more versatile 10x wide view zoom lens. The JV300 offers 12-megapixels, a 2.7-inch LCD, Dual IS system, SR Auto, 720p HD video recording, all packed in a metal shell. Again, the JV500 shares the same specs as above, but increases resolution to 14-megapixels, and adds Fuji's new image search function, and Pet detection for your pooch and kitty.
For those who want a bit more power, Fuji also unveiled their new FinePix F80EXR. Featuring their SuperCCD EXR image sensor, the F80 boasts 12-megapixels of resolution, a 10x wide view lens with their super EBC (electron beam coating) coating, a 3.0-inch LCD, Dual IS, Pro Focus and Pro Low Light multi-exposure modes, ISO up to 12800, Super iFlash (intelligent), Li-ion power source, all wrapped in a metal chassis.
Next are two Z-series models, the Z70 and Z700EXR. They each offer an internal 5x periscopic lens, and while both boast 12-megapixels, the Z700 uses Fuji's SuperCCD EXR sensor, while the Z70 offers their standard CCD type unit.
The Z70 also offers a 2.7-inch LCD, digital IS system, a separate movie shutter button, 720p HD video mode, one touch photo/video tagging for automatic uploading to your facebook/myspace once you plug the camera into your PC or Mac, in-camera still/video editing, and much more. This model is offered in four stylish colors; silver, black, blue, and berry (pink).
The FinePix Z700EXR shares some of the same features with the Z70, but adds a large 3.5-inch Touch screen LCD, high dynamic range and high ISO, an interactive GUI, Dual image display modes, touch to shoot technology, file management function, Dual IS system, Pet Detection, and Face detection + Recognition. All of these impressive features are stored inside a tough metal frame.
Last, but certainly not least, is their all new FinePix XP10. This is their first XP-seires "Lifeproof" model, which boasts water, dust, shock, and freezeproof specifications. Other features include 12-megapixels, a 5x periscopic internal zoom lens, 2.7-inch LCD with anti-reflective coating, uni-body chassis with metal and stainless steal construction, 720p HD video recording, SR Auto and much more. This rugged gem is available in three colors; chrome, black and green.
