Fujifilm Reveals New GFX100 Mirrorless Camera with 102MP Sensor

Fujifilm has announced its latest flagship mirrorless camera, the GFX100. The camera is now available for pre-order via B&H Photo-Video for $9,999.95. Shipments are set to launch on June 27.

The GFX100 features several advanced features, including a newly developed 102MP, 55mm diagonal length back-side illuminated sensor (BSI) utilizing Fujifilm's X-Processor 4 processing engine. Together, the sensor and processor enable support for 16-bit RAW images and 4K 30p video recording (4:2:2 10-bit). In addition, the device offers integrated 5-axis image stabilization to reduce vibrations. On-Board Phase Detection Hybrid AF has been implemented as well, with 3.76 million phase detection pixels and around 100% coverage.

Meanwhile, when it comes to construction, the unit features a dust-resistant and weather-resistant design with a lightweight magnesium alloy body and integrated vertical grip. The camera measures 6.15" (W) x 6.44" (H) x 4.05" (D) and weighs around 3 lbs. (including two batteries, memory card and EVF). Finally, a removable 5.76m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and an integrated rear 3.2" 2.36m-dot tilting touchscreen LCD are included as well.
