FUJIFILM Details New X-T30 Mirrorless Camera & FUJINON XF16mmF2.8 R WR Lens

FUJIFILM has unveiled the latest additions to its photography lineup. The new products include the X-T30 Mirrorless Digital Camera and the FUJINON XF16mmF2.8 R WR Wide Angle Lens.

Marked by a compact and lightweight design, the X-T30 weighs just 13.51 ounces. Under the hood, the camera features FUJIFILM's X-Trans CMOS 4 26.1 Megapixel Sensor (out of the X-T3) and is powered by the X-Processor 4 Quad Core-CPU for fast auto-focus performance and accurate face detection. In addition, the device supports a regular ISO sensitivity option of ISO 160 for better capture in bright outdoor environments. And when it comes to video, the device includes 4K UHD and Full HD 1080p recording capabilities.

In other words, the X-T30 a baby X-T3 without all of the pro features. Still, at $899, it seems like a powerful little camera, one that's set to take on the recently-announced Sony a6400.

The X-T30 is set to start shipping in March 2019 in black and silver color options for a suggested retail price of $899. In addition, an X-T30 body with XC15-45mm lens kit will also be available for $999 and an X-T30 body with XF18-55mm lens kit will be available for $1,299. Finally, a new charcoal silver color option is set to launch in June 2019.

The unit features an internal focusing system and stepping motor, enabling quiet and quick auto-focusing. In addition, the device uses exterior metal components and is sealed at nine points around the barrel to offer added durability and weather resistance.
