FujiFilm Announces New Wi-Fi Enabled Lifeproof Camera; The FinePix XP170

Yet another Lifeproof camera announced this week, the FujiFilm FinePix XP170 builds off the FinePix XP150 that was announced earlier this year. In fact, the XP170 and XP150 share near identical specifications, and they also look like the same camera. Looking at them side by side, only a change in label tells them apart.

The XP170 boasts the same 14-megapixel CMOS image sensor, FUJINON 5x optical zoom lens, and lifeproof specifications like being waterproof down to 33 feet, shockproof from a 6.5 foot drop, freezeproof down to 14°F, and dustproof. The XP170 looses the built-in GPS functionality found on the XP150, but adds an all new feature; Wireless Image Transfer. By downloading an app to your Android or Apple iOS powered smart phone or tablet, you can connect the XP170 to transfer images to your favorite social websites; like Facebook and YouTube.
