Fujifilm has detailed the latest addition to its lineup of lenses for GFX Medium Format mirrorless digital cameras. The GF 100-200mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens will be available for pre-order via B&H Photo-Video on January 18 for an MSRP of $1,999.95.

"Outdoor photographers need to consider a plethora of challenges including lighting, environment and timing - all while battling the natural elements," said Yuji Igarashi, General Manager, Electronic Imaging Division & Optical Devices Division, FUJIFILM North America Corporation. "As the first GF telephoto zoom lens that has a 35mm equivalent focal range of 79-158mm in a compact, weather-resistant design, this lens will meet the needs of outdoor and landscape photographers."

The GF 100-200mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens is a lightweight telephoto zoom lens geared toward outdoor use for landscape, travel, and nature photography. The lens is constructed of 20 elements in 13 groups, including two super Extra Low Dispersion Glass lenses and one aspherical lens. In addition, the device features five stop image stabilization and a dust and weather resistant design with the ability to work in temperatures as low as 14 °F. Meanwhile, the unit incorporates a linear AF motor for quiet, high-speed focusing. Finally, the lens uses a rounded nine-blade diaphragm for bokeh effects.
