Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro Makes US Debut

PhotoPlus Expo 2006, New York, NY, November 2, 2006 - FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. is showcasing the highly anticipated FinePix S5 Pro digital-SLR camera at PhotoPlus Expo 2006 in New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, November 2nd - 4th. PhotoPlus Expo 2006 marks the first public North American showcase for the camera.

PhotoPlus Expo 2006 attendees also will have the chance to see results from the much talked about FinePix S3 Pro UVIR, the world's first production D-SLR camera capable of taking photographs in the ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) light spectrums. Many of today's top professional photographers have made IR photography an essential part of the services they offer because of its ability to create unique and beautiful images that set them apart from others in their fields.

In addition, Fujifilm will demonstrate its new Face Detection Technology found in its SLR-styled FinePix S6000fd and pocketable FinePix F31fd. Face Detection is one of the brightest new technologies in digital imaging, making it even easier for picture-takers to take quality photos. Through a demonstration show attendees will see how Fujifilm's Face Detection in action how it detects up to ten human faces in a scene, prioritizes the faces, and then adjusts exposure and focus automatically to optimize the final image, creating "people pictures" that are sharp and clear with natural skin tones.
