Fujifilm Announces X-Pro3 Rangefinder Camera

Fujifilm has unveiled the latest addition to its lineup of X Series camera models, the X-Pro3. The standard Black model will be available in late fall for $1,799.95. In addition, DR Black and DR Silver models with special Duratect (DR) surface-hardening technology for scratch resistance will be available for $1,999.95.

Geared toward street photography and photojournalists, the X-Pro3 is a digital rangefinder camera model with advanced specs, a low profile, and a durable titanium exterior construction. Under the hood, the device uses a back illuminated 26.1MP X-TRANS CMOS 4 sensor and Fujifilm's X-Processor 4 image processing engine. Coupled with the company's latest algorithm, the CPU offers enhanced AF performance with support for precision face and eye detection down to -6EV.

In addition, the camera offers 16 Film Simulation modes, including new CLASSIC Neg. and MONOCHROMATIC Color options. And when it comes to video, the camera includes DCI 4K(4096×2160) and 4K(3840×2160) recording capabilities at up to 29.97p, and Full HD (1920×1080) recording at up to 59.94p. Finally, the X-Pro3 also incorporates a hybrid OVF/EVF with a 0.5x magnification optical viewfinder (OVF) and a 3.69M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder (EVF), along with a hidden 180-Degree tilting 1.62M-dot LCD touchscreen.
