Fuji Debuts Photo-Shooting Kit For Internet Auctions

Fuji Photo Film Co. Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, is offering a photo-taking support kit including a digital photo stand and a box, AsiaBizTech news reported. Photos of products taken with this kit are suitable for posting on Internet auction sites, the company said. A digital photo stand is used for taking photos of products, and on it a digital camera is fixed. Angles and height can be changed. The box where an object item is located for shooting is covered with translucent white screen material. The company says the box will help provide even lighting for the product using a fluorescent light. The resulting effect gives the object a near-three-dimensional look.

The stand is priced at ¥18,500 ( USD) and the box is priced at ¥12,500 ( USD). Both will be on sale May 10 in Japan, no word if it is coming to the U.S. market yet.

The stand is different from an ordinary camera tripod, and the company says its compact size facilitates shooting on a coffee table or office desk for a photo that looks like a professional commercial photo.
