Fred Miranda's Shadow Recovery Pro Plugin

Fred Miranada has just released his new professional Shadow Recovery Pro Plugin (SR Pro). It's designed for use with all digital cameras and scanned film and is compatible with Elements 1 and 2, as well as Photoshop 6, 7 or higher (PC and Mac). Since highlights are difficult to recover when not exposed properly, I have developed this plugin to focus on recovering the hidden shadow detail. SR Pro replaces lengthy and complicated masking techniques, speeding your workflow and leaving you with natural and reliable results.

SR Pro features 12 intensity levels as well as many options to reduce shadow noise including:

  1. Normal: It runs shadow recovery without applying any shadow noise reduction.
  2. Color: The plugin runs the desired shadow recovery level and also reduces Chroma (Color) noise from shadow areas. Some digital cameras produce color noise in the shadow areas and this option should be used in these situations.
  3. Color + Luma: It runs the desired shadow recovery level while reducing chroma and luma noise. This setting is great when used with higher ISO, long exposure files.

    Also, a new Canon 10D Profiler package is now available. It includes two (2) Photoshop actions and two (2) custom ICC profiles. Canon 10D LPbatch 16-bit (Linear Pro Batch) For 10D RAW files converted to 16-bit linear TIFF files. Make sure your third party RAW conversion software offers linear output like Canon's own RAW converter or Breezebrowser software (works with BB v2.7b) Canon 10D Non-linear 16-bit. For regular 10D files being JPEG straight from the camera or JPEG / TIFF files converted from RAW. (Works with all RAW conversion software or with files straight from the camera)
