Florida Farm Photography Ban Altered - Now Much More Reasonable

There was a really strange development in the photography world earlier this month. A Florida state senator introduced a bill that would make it a felony to take pictures of a farm without permission.

The bill has been approved, but was thankfully altered to be more reasonable. Instead of the proposed felony status for all photos, the new version of the bill focuses on pictures taken while trespassing and bumps the crime down to a misdemeanor.

Just because the bill has been approved, incidentally, doesn't mean that it's going into effect. It still has to be passed, and in all likelihood this is something that's going to be shot down in the long run.
