Facebook Introduces a New Social Media App to Take Over Android Phone Home Screens
One of the more interesting features of the Facebook Home app is that when your phone is idling or locked, you'll see pictures and status updates from your Facebook feed, allowing you to keep up with your friends without even having to log in. The downside, of course, is that the pictures you post online might be showing up on your friends' phones whether you want them to or not. Presumably, there will be some sort of security settings in place.
Strangely, camera options have been left out of the initial launch. Since photos are one of the big attractions to Facebook, this comes off as a bit strange. Of course, Zuckerberg says that there will be updates monthly, and that just because camera functionality wasn't included initially doesn't mean we won't see it in the near future.
