Epson's New Photo Printer Uses Larger Cartridges - Focused on Convenience

Epson-R2000.jpgThe Epson Stylus Photo R2000 was created to offer customers a combination of convenience and quality in one. Among the improvements are wireless connectivity and larger cartridges, meaning less ink changes.

Epson business manager Neil Wilson says those aren't the only changes. Epson has made improvements to ensure that every print job is a successful one. "The printhead delivers a variable droplet size down to 1.5pl, resulting in high precision and smooth gradations," says Wilson. "It also has an ink mixing function to prevent ink settling in the cartridges, making colour reproduction as accurate as possible."

Epson also boasts that UltraChrome HiGloss2 ink allows for an ultra-glossy finish with the benefits of pigment ink. In addition to photos, the Epson Stylus Photo R2000 prints directly onto CDs, DVDs and poster board.

Customers in the US and the UK will be able to pick up the Epson Stylus Photo R2000 when it releases this month at a price of $499. You can learn more about the R2000 by visiting the Epson website.
