Epson Announces New Perfection 1200 Scanner Series
TORRANCE, Calif.--Aug. 30, 1999-- Epson America Inc. unveiled the EPSON Perfection(TM) 1200 series of scanners: the EPSON Perfection 1200U, EPSON Perfection 1200S and EPSON Perfection 1200U PHOTO. The new trio of scanners offers high-performance, one-button scanning with a hardware resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi -- twice the scanning power of conventional 600 dpi scanners. With processing speeds faster than most in their class, the EPSON Perfection 1200 models are ideal for business or graphics use.
All three models in the EPSON Perfection 1200 line feature Epson's ColorTrue® II Imaging System -- the skillfully engineered integration of superior hardware, optics and processing -- for premium image quality, amazing detail and incredible color accuracy. The EPSON Perfection 1200 models feature true 1200 dpi optical resolution and a maximum hardware resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi via Epson's advanced Micro Step Drive(TM) technology.
Both the EPSON Perfection 1200U and the EPSON Perfection 1200S are flatbed scanner models that offer 1200 x 2400 dpi hardware resolution. The EPSON Perfection 1200U, with its easy USB plug 'n play installation, is ideal for business, home and school environments. Featuring ultra-fast SCSI connectivity, the EPSON Perfection 1200S is best suited for corporate and entry-level graphics environments demanding fast scan speeds.
