DreamWorks Loses Rights to Kodachrome Film - Fox Picks it Up

Kodachrome.jpgWe first reported that a film based on the final roll of Kodachrome film would be made in early April, but it seems there's been a bit of a setback.

Apparently, director Shawn Levy didn't abide by a deal he made with Fox, which promised them the first shot at anything he made. Producers believed that Fox had already turned it down before they moved on to DreamWorks.

Fox has, as Variety puts it, "yanked it back onto its development slate, where it stands today." It seems that they plan to move ahead with the project, but this is definitely a step back. According to Variety, Jonathan Tropper is still on board to write the script.
