DJI has revealed its latest portable camera innovation. The new Osmo Pocket is the world's smallest three-axis stabilized camera, making it a perfect fit for simple on-the-go use.

"Innovation is at the heart of every product we create and DJI Osmo Pocket is here to change the way photos and videos are captured, not just by professionals but by parents, couples, adventurers, travelers, and everyone in between," said Roger Luo, President at DJI. "Osmo Pocket is a portable personal camera crew and we can't wait to see how people use it to capture their stories and share them with the world."

The Osmo Pocket is a compact handheld camera that measures just over 4 inches tall. The unit incorporates a three-axis mechanical gimbal to compensate for user movement in real-time, resulting in smooth video recording. Under the hood, the device features a 1/2.3-inch sensor, 80° FOV, and f/2.0 aperture with support for capturing 12-megapixel photographs and 4K videos at up to 60fps and 100Mbps. In addition, the unit offers high quality audio capabilities via integrated dual microphones and advanced noise-canceling algorithms. A 1-inch touch screen is built-in as well, providing live view and access to various settings and extra features, including advanced subject tracking, Timelapse & Motionlapse, an FPV Mode, and 3x3 & 180° Panorama capture.

Finally, the camera can also connect to iOS Lightning or USB-C mobile devices via an integrated universal port under the touchscreen, enabling use with the new DJI Mimo app. The app can turn a mobile device into a monitor, along with access to more intelligent features and recording modes.

The Osmo Pocket is now available for pre-order for an MSRP of $349. First shipments are expected to go out by December 15. In addition to the camera itself, DJI will also offer various accessories, including a Wireless Module, Controller Wheel, ND Filters Set, Extension Rod, Charging Case, and more.
