DIY: Make a DSLR Shoulder rig From an Ikea Cutting Board
Cris Knight created this project and shared it with the folks over at DIY Photography. It's made of an IKEA cutting board, a few pipes and some odds and ends that can be picked up cheap or free. You'll also need a stove to allow you to heat the cutting board for bending.
The end result looks fantastic, and is fully functional. Knight says that he still has some work to do before he's completely happy with it. "I would like to add some weight to the back in the future as well to help counter-balance the weight of the camera," says Cris, "but I have not decided on what to use for that yet."
