DIY: Bread Box Strip Light

Striplight.jpgStrip lights are incredibly cool for their intended purpose, but unless you're a fashion photographer by trade, you probably won't have that many opportunities to use them. That's where a nice cheap do-it-yourself solution really comes in handy.

Photograher John Hagar came up with a fantastic solution that's not only cheap and effective, but aesthetically pleasing as well. Sure, it doesn't look as fancy as a store-bought strip lights but it's certainly a step up over most DIY projects.

Hagar spent a total of twenty dollars on the project and focused on parts found at hardware and grocery stores. The main component is a see-through Rubbermaid bread container, though he suggests that a cheaper off-brand box would work just as well.
