Cosina Ends MF Lens Production for the K Mount
If you've been hoping to pick up a
Voigtlander or Carl Zeiss lens for your Pentax K mount camera, it's
time to get moving. Cosina, the manufacturer of both, has announced
that production has stopped for the series.Existing lenses for the mount will continue to sell until stock runs out. No change in pricing has been announced, and the lenses are expected to continue to sell at the existing prices.
According to the German site Photoscala, the company is shifting focus to more profitable Nikon and Canon lens lines. That's bad news for Pentax owners, but good for those owning a Nikon or Canon.
There's a possibility of an adapter for the Pentax K mount in the future, but details have not yet been given.
