Consider a Guitar Case for Unconventional but Convenient Gear Hauling

While we wouldn't recommend carrying your camera in anything but a camera case, other less-fragile gear is open to a little bit of experimentation. One great way to carry your lighting equipment, tripod and accessories is in a guitar case.

These soft shell cases - especially those made to carry bass guitars - are meant to carry heavy and expensive items with a limited amount of strain on the wearer. They have plenty of pockets, a great deal of padding and they're usually pretty cheap to boot - especially if you can find them used.
