Casio Introduces 5 New Digital Cameras at CES

Casio announces 5 new digital cameras to their Exilim series at CES ranging in price from USD to USD. All 5 models should be on the shelves by March.

For a mere USD you can pick up the new EX-S10. Casio states this camera is world's smallest and thinnest 10 megapixel digital camera, the Casio S10 has a 3x optical zoom lens and 2.7" LCD display.

Next are 3 new Z series cameras. The EX-Z200 and EX-100 are exactly the same with the exception of the price and the image stabilization. Both offer 10mp, 4x optical zoom lens, 2.7" LCD display. The Ex-Z200 offers image stabilization and will cost USD while the EX - Z100 will be without the image stabilization and will sell for USD. Finally the Casio EX-Z80 is an 8mp ultracompact with 3x optical zoom and 2.6" LCD display, and will cost . All three of these cameras will ship in March 2008.

The new Flagship camera for Casio will be their dSLR TYPE camera, the Pro EX-F1 with a high-speed six mp CMOS image sensor, 12x Optical Zoom, 2.8" LCD. What is exciting about this camera is the 60 frame per second adjustable shooting feature. This burst feature works in both still imaging and Movie mode and is adjustable from 1 - 60 seconds and can be used at full resolution. Movies may be shot up to 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and the frame rates jump to 1200 frames per second at 336 x 96. The price tag for this camera will come in around ,000 USD and even though this seems like a high price for an dSLR TYPE camera the shooting speed, movie mode (true dSLR's don't have movie modes), 12X zoom, and raw file capability should be a consideration.

These cameras will be in the stores by March and we hope to receive the cameras in time to prepare our reviews.
