Carl Zeiss Introduces an SLR Lens Set in a Custom Case

Zeiss-Case.jpgThe folks at Zeiss have put together something really impressive for the NAB show in Las Vegas, which starts at the end of this week. They put together a bundle of lenses that will be sold along with a custom lens case that's absolutely amazing looking.

The new Zeiss set was created in response to HD video creators that want precise manual focus lenses. "Many production budgets don't justify investing in a set of cinematography lenses right away, like our Compact Prime CP.2 lenses," says Zeiss director of sales Michael Schienlen. "Our SLR lenses with their precise manual focus are a reasonable alternative for getting started in HD video."

The lenses - Distagon T* 2,8/21, Distagon T* 2/28, Distagon T* 2/35, Planar T* 1,4/50 and Planar T* 1,4/85 - come in a custom made waterproof case that's made to protect your investment from moisture, shock and vibration.

The price of the full set is going to be around $6,000 when it comes out in May.
