Canon today announced the new and affordably priced EOS 300D "Digital Rebel" SLR with a 6.3-Megapixel imager, the same size as that found in the EOS 10D. This new camera incorporates advanced features like a seven-point, high speed predictive AF system, 2.5 frame per second burst, 1.8-inch color LCD, ISO speeds of 100 to 1600, 35-zone metering and DIGIC image processor. Canon is offering the EOS 300D as a body only kit or bundled with the new EF-S 18-55 f3.5-5.6 (28-90mm 35mm equivalent) zoom lens. Promising to be one of the most important revolutions of digital photography, Canon is pricing the new EOS 300D at an amazing for the body and for the body plus the 18-55mm zoom lens with availability in September.
